Why is nobody talking about shoulder health?

Don't allow beat up shoulders to limit what you can do in the water and diminish the enjoyment you get from surfing

I've been fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with a lot of people 

presenting some severely dysfunctional shoulders…

aka “shoulder blockers”

I myself have been through several issues with my shoulders

7 years ago I had a serious accident while filming my best friend ice surfing

Couldn’t move my left arm for a year long

Fortunately I found the solution to it

A lot of soft tissue work, rehab exercises and massage therapy helped to get back on the wall again

Lately because of some serious overuse I have some reoccurring impingement issues that I'm still working on

As an extreme sport enthusiast, strength training coach, and massage therapist

I realize the importance of an optimally functioning shoulder joint, to not only having a great time while surfing

but especially when aiming to improve abilities and performance

From Land to Wave: Éva’s Surf Shape Journey

Who says workouts have to stay in the gym? We took things to the forest for an unforgettable session featuring axe wood chopping—a full-body challenge that’s as fun as it is effective. Toss in gymnastic rings, medicine balls, and log carries, and we turned nature into the ultimate fitness playground. Fresh air, creative moves, and a whole lot of laughs made this workout one for the books!
